Chainese-made TLR camera was introduced in Japan for the first time in 1964, when TLR camera was in boom in Japan brought by Ricohflex III and other domestic TLRs. This camera, named Seagull is an upgrade version of Shanghai 4. The interesting thing is that the letters "Seagull" was engraved in Chinese character in the nameplate on the earlier model while they are now in English. This is the camera with high cost performance. |

Focusing is made with the focusing knob located at the left-hand side of the camera. |

One swing the film wind lever transports the film to the next frame and cocks the shutter. | |
The focusing hood opens and closes by a slight touch of a finder. As shown in the figure right, it is available as the direct-view finder by pushing down the center plate of the hood. |
