Half-depressing the shutter release button indicates exposure by LED. Each lamp indicates :
*The shutter release button is comparatively heavy, so you may not need to worry about releasing the shutter by accident. |
Power resources are two LR44 batteries. The battery storage is at the right side of the eyepiece. |

The standard lens is MC-Zenitar-M2s 50mm f/2. It has a unique round shape. The distance scale is indicated in the metric system, and the closest focusing distance is at 0.35m. |
The self-timer is set with the dial on camera side. Location and shape of the dial is not so well. When the timer is set, the self-timer indicator in the window turns from red to green, and it begins running by depressing the button above the window. |
The frame counter is forward-counting type. It is reset by depressing the square button beside the shutter release button. This button is also used as the R-button. |
Two version of Zenit-122 are introduced now. The one is Praktica-mount version (featured on this page), and the other is Pentax K-mount version. |
