Rolleiflex 4 x 4
First Rolleiflex 4 x 4 ("Baby" Rolleiflex) was launched in 1931.
It was introduced as 4 x 4 cm TLR camera used 127 film, whose dimensions were a size smaller than the first Rollei TLR, Rolleiflex Original, and it was popular with the public. But, while Rollei 6 x 6 cm TLR camera had been improved and changed to the next model one after another, manufacturing of Rolleiflex 4 x 4 was stopped once.
Later in 1957, Rolleiflex 4 x 4, that we introduce here, came back in the market after a long absence with the stylish gray-colored leather covering around the camera body. It took over most of the mechanisms, such as Automat film loading and light value (Refer to Rolleicord Vb.), from Rolleiflex Automat. In addition to this, it was provided with various kinds of accessories whose color is also gray for matching with 4 x 4 color.
