Hood with Aperture Scale for the Leica Elmar 50/3.5

A hood for the collapsible Elmar 50/3.5 that carries the aperture with it — so the setting is finally where you can see it.

The aperture ring of the collapsible Elmar sits at the front of the lens, small and awkward to read. This hood couples to it: mount the hood with the scales aligned, and from then on you set the aperture at the rim of the hood, where there is room for your fingers and the figures are legible.

It earns its keep in the darkroom as well, where reading the original scale is close to guesswork.

For the collapsible Leica Elmar 50mm f/3.5. The camera is not included.
