Quick Plate (Linhof type)

Nearly square, so it does not care which way round you mount it. For 35mm, 4×5, large format and the Rolleiflex alike.

The manufacturers' own plates are long and narrow, which fixes the camera in one orientation. Ours is close to square, so the camera goes on whichever way suits the picture.

Two large and two small screw holes are cut into the plate itself, so it does not matter where the screw sits on your head. It is small enough to be convenient when you are working with large, medium and 35mm formats in the same session, and it is textured against slipping.
