Flash Shoe for Rolleiflex

Mounts a flash — or a meter — above the viewing hood, where it throws no hard shadow and leaves the film transport free.

With the flash raised above the viewing lens, portraits lose the hard shadow that a flash at the camera's own level produces. The other gain is practical: winding on, which is awkward with a flash mounted the usual way, becomes straightforward again.

A meter can go in the shoe instead of a flash.

Tighten the screw firmly. Do not mount a flash that is too heavy for the shoe.
